How the valuation of your vehicle works

Where to find the right details
The VIN has 17 characters. It appears on your registration certificate, on your insurance card and at the lower corner of the windshield on the driver’s side.
Read the mileage on the dashboard and enter the real figure rather than a guess.
The exact trim (an all-wheel-drive version, for example) is often written on the back of the vehicle or in your purchase papers.
